Happy Proposal Day

Five years ago, Dave took me for a run to the Logan Temple, pretended to fall down the hill, ripped off his jacket and revealed a shirt and tie underneath, got down on one knee and told me he loved me and he asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him? My face after he asked, showed what I have felt everyday since. I didn't think I could love someone more than I did then but I was wrong! My love grows more and more each day for this boy!

Creative Mini-Golf

Friday, we went out with some friends and played a round of mini-golf. The temperatures were perfect to go! Half way through the 18 holes, our friend Ryan, threw in a little twist. Whoever won the last hole had to choose a challenge on the next one. We all came up with some good ones including spinning 3 times before you hit it, using your lefty (I got a hole in one on this one!), having to use your spouse when you hit, kissing your spouse while you hit, using the wrong edge of the putter, hitting off and through the rocks, and my personal favorite, lying on your stomach each time you hit it (that was one of mine). Then, since we were almost the only ones there and the pond wasn't filled, Ryan also came up with a hole inside and through the pond...it turned out to be quite interesting! Alex and Ryan treated us to a glacier at Kirt's in North Ogden afterwards. It's a slushie with soft serve ice cream. Pretty yummy!

Price's Getaway

We left for St. George Thursday late evening, yes in the storm. From Fillmore on it was horrible! Poor David had to tensely drive through the crazy blizzardy Central Utah and then, when we got to Leeds (right before St. George) the wind gusts were horrific! Pictured below id Dave's car the morning after. My poor bike got pounded too!

It was so nice to take a day off, my first of the school year. My kids were sad when I told them I wouldn't be there Friday which made me feel a little warm inside but I needed it! Even as I was doing a treacherous trail run with Bridget, I was still happier where I was for that day.

The trip was a blast! The only downside was that Sunny and Mike couldn't make it because of illness, so we missed them. For once, time didn't just whiz on by like it usually does when you're having fun and WE HAD SO MUCH FUN, there's no doubt about that! We were able to fit a lot of activities in even with sleeping in and with the size of group we had. We got to do some new things too, which I always love. St. George is full of endless possibilities! We were very active and because of that, we all ate SO MUCH FOOD! Well, I know I did and the only time I regretted it was the following mornings when my tummy hurt. And because of all the food, the house got quite unbearable at times (I won't name names but it was so bad!). The trip was all around wonderful!

The boys did a lot of mountain biking.
