Well, we're almost through the first month of 2012 and I've only posted once so figured I need to say something...
Dave is in his last four weeks of his Master's program! He is so close and so dead beat tired that he feels like it's so far away. He'll be done at the end of February and he can't wait! By next year this time we should know his permanent placement in the Air Force. At this moment, we don't have a clue what or where it will be. There is even a small chance we'd have to move to another state and we both pray that we don't have to.
Teaching has been consuming my time, thoughts and emotions (as usual:) ). I truly love what I do, so I'm far from complaining! I'm just stating the facts. It is so funny how many people say to me, "I couldn't do what you do!" or ask, "How do you do it?" It is a hard job but that's what makes it so great. I love a good challenge and that is what I am faced with everyday with those little munchkins as well as the higher ups breathing down my back (that's not so fun, but I try to focus on the kids and not what others think and that seems to help me not stress). It is a roller coaster physically, mentally and emotionally but to me that is how all good things in life are. The muchkins are so freaking adorable and hilarious even though their bodily functions are atrocious and overbearing at times!
I've really enjoyed the weekends lately. Besides all the grading and stapling I get to do (which Dave always willing helps with), Dave and I get to just relax at home and have date nights. I love being with Dave! We have so much fun together. He hates it, because I'm starting to use his humor and teasing towards him and he gets so frustrated. It's cute. We were able to accompany Bridget and Ryan up to Logan to take care of Michael's rolled ankle that he thought he might have broken last weekend. We went during one of the last snow storms and it was crazy but it was fun to go up there.
As much as he hates running, Dave has also joined our Ragnar team for the Wasatch Back in June so now I have a running buddy! He goes with me at least one morning during the week and another time too. He's such a trooper!
