AHH! I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? I NEED IT TO STOP!! I am now 25 and a few days and it feels like last month I was in college and last year just in high school...it is the weirdest thing and I'm not handling it well on the inside. On the outside, I am playing it cooland shrugging it off but I don't know what else to do. I can't stop time or even slow it down so I just have to grit my teeth and go with it. Each day turns into what feels like an hour and it all is beginning to mesh together. At school, time goes a mile a minute and trying to fit all that needs to be fit in is the toughest part of the job at the moment. I am loving life but want it to slow down!
My 25th birthday was great! Sunday, we celebrated with my family down at my parents. We had dinner and relaxed. Later, we set up an ice cream, cake and cookie bar. Yum! Yum! I'm usually not a fan of cake but Dave woke up Sunday morning and decided to bake a cake and it was divine! I couldn't stop eating it. I also packed my tummy with what I believe is the best cookie in the world and lots of ice cream and caramel. I was in a sugar coma the rest of the night.
Monday, I was able to leave work as soon as I was allowed feeling good about the day (my kids were great that day) and leaving all the work behind to unfortunately come back to the next but until then I wouldn't think of it. I got home to a wonderfully cleaned house and wrapped gifts on the kitchen table. I got open one, which was a ribbon to tie around my eyes (it wasn't wide enough to cover my sight so I just closed my eyes) and follow Dave...to my closet. It was a long mirror with a dry erase marker even. I also got some mullah to spend on a new purse or tennis bag, and a pizza baking stone! We decided to go to ABC Mandarin because I've been wanting to try it forever. It was the perfect choice! So, so yummy and our waitress was super nice and a cute girl! They brought out this cute dessert with a candle and even sang happy birthday to me! I thought they'd do it in Chinese but it was in English, but still, when do you ever hear people getting sung to at a Chinese restaurant?? I loved it! We went to the mall to see if I could spend any of my mullah and then went home for a night of relaxation and cake, cookies and ice cream :) I can't tell you enough how yummy Dave's cake was. Once I started, I couldn't stop!
