We found some new favorites in St. George this last weekend. As many times as we've been down there you'd think we've done just about everything, well, not even close we've come to realize. This trip to St. George was a blast, not that the others aren't but we were able to bring Dave's whole family (minus Elder Michael Price) down this time. One of the new favorites is the Dixie Boulder Park. It's right where the big white Dixie is painted on the red rock down there. As you can see, that is where all our pics of the trip come from, so you know we had a good time! We spent most of the weekend outdoors and playing in the pool. The little munchkins loved it and shed tears when they had to leave "George House" as our nephew Wells called it. Don't worry guys, we'll go again if it kills us!!! Thanks for all the fun!

Lucky
In light of the holiday, here is one of the many reasons I am so lucky...
So last night was one of the worst nights at Goodwood and that is saying a lot because I've had a lot of bad nights lately. I've been thinking lately that I am about as burnt out as they come for serving. I've been serving for 5 years! I've served at 4 different restaurants over those 5 years. Smoky's being the longest of 3 and now Goodwood is my second longest being almost a year. Well the last 3 months Dave has been by my side and he now gets to see what I used to come home complaining his ear off about first hand. Don't get me wrong, there are some moments I love it for many different reasons, but lately I've just had the burnt-out-bug I think and last night was one of those times where it bit me in the butt and I just wanted to scream. So anyway, I came home to a very loving and understanding man (which I already knew he was but he surpasses what I thought I knew each and everyday).

Homeowners Anniversary
I can't believe it's been a whole year! A year ago yesterday we were configuring all our belongings on a couple of borrowed trailers and a truck to haul to Riverdale from many different places that they were stored. It has been such a great first year as homeowners! We love it! We have made so many great memories already in it. It's come a long way with all of the improvements we've done but there are still more to come! Hopefully we'll have the energy to do them this year. We got a little burnt out from all that we did at the beginning. This spring I will also be starting my own garden! I'm a little worried because I've never done it and I don't know much about them but it will be a great learning experience and I am way excited for all the yummy vegetables I will be growing!!!

St. George & Heart Day
St. George sunshine. Need I say more. Wow, I don't think I have ever been so opposed to coming home from a trip than I was Monday. It was BE. A. U. TIFUL in St. George this last weekend! No joke. We had so much to do on this trip, too. We had a hard time fitting it all in but we did fit most things in. We were able to get 2 days of tennis in, day and evening walks/hikes, a run, a 20 miler on the road bike, a great Valentine's dinner at a new fave, and even a pedicure in the very last hour. We were also able to try another food place I've been wanting to try for the last few times we've gone down, 25 Main. I got a super scrumptious salad! Dave and I were contemplating early retirement and trying to come up with ways to do it.

Babysitting & Snowboarding
This past weekend was so great. We both had the weekend off at Goodwood and were able to relax and do whatever we wanted...I don't remember the last time that happened on a weekend. We ended up watching our niece and nephew, Cora and Jonas. We watched a couple movies and hung out at our place with them. Saturday my dad text me at 10 am saying Kaitlin wanted to learn how to snowboard and said he would pay if we took her for a half day. It was a beautiful day up at Brighton. I actully find a liking to snowboarding this time probably because I wasn't worried baout being so cold the whole time. We usually go night boarding and I bail out early because of the cold. This time I was able to keep going and going. That night we ordered pizza and hung out at my parents to watch the Jazz game. The Super Bowl was fun too. We took over Dave's parent's house with his sisters and families, and kicked back and pigged out. Good, nice weekend!

During the month of January...
I completed my first sewing project EVER! Super cute and super easy!
Important note: this is for a friend, not me...
January flew by! Probably due to the busi-ness of it but we are both ready for the spring, so bring it on!

San Diego...Perfect place to go to get some warmth
Oh, how I love San Diego! Growing up we would go once a year to visit my dad's family and I would go again in the summer for a basketball tournament, too. We haven't been since Michael left so we decided to go take a visit last week, since Michael is back and it might be the last time we see our grandpa. It was a short trip but we fit a lot in! The only down side was that I had food poisoning Monday and spent most of the night, while everyone else was enjoying time together, in the restrooms of my uncles house. Other than that I had a blast! Dave has ocean-fever now and can't think of anything else but going back. Hopefully we can make it back soon!

Never Too Much Christmas!
We started our Christmas week off at a party with Dave's extended family. We ate some good food and then topped it off with a white elephant gift exchange (we made it out the best I think with 100 calorie kettle corn and a bag full of clementines) and some Christmas carols with chimes.
Christmas Eve was spent with Dave's family. Again we ate some good food. We had a live Nativity with Cora as Mary, Wellyn played Joseph and Jonas as baby Jesus...
Papa Claus brought Dave a lighted frisbee and me a comfy blankie
It was a great Christmas! We both scored some sweet gifts! Me some bike stuff (Lotoja here I come!) and a Cricut so I can take my crafting to the next level...I have a lot to learn! Dave some sweet bike stuff and the dvds Planet Earth and Blue Planet. We also got some great Christmas movie classics!
Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
